This is one of the best books I've ever read. I took too many points of this book to manage my teams, my mates around me know I love conflicts, my teams being accountable and use to share their results inside and outside our team.

One of my key leadership books for new leaders. I have every leader read this and I talk through it with them so they understand and know how to take action based on the book. Pat and his team sure have changed the game of business and the world is better for it!

Having worked with several teams through the five dysfunctions it has demonstrably worked for me. In the words of one of my teams ‘imagine how good we could be if we could deliver this!’

Great!!! Thanks for you work. I don't know why I took so long to diving in your books. Anyway, perhaps running late, just this year I already consumed five of them. Awesome!!!!

I've had this book sitting around for years. Got the audiobook and listened and used the book for notes. I'm about to use it at my new job. He knows his stuff and I'll be reading more. Thank you for this great wisdom.

Interesting to consider the difference between a team and a working group

The Culture Map by Erin Meyers illustrates the complexities, subtleties and realities from missed cultures. Cultures can be considered an exaggeration of personalities, any even single culture teams have personalities 😊

The building block seems good, till you get to accountability. Peer to peer accountability can work, but it could inevitably lead to the breakdown of the lower layers and cause greater harm and magnify team dysfunction. Many times, the individual is called out and isolated, rather than a focus on the work to be performed. Results at the team level should be the focus, and when it is lacking, perhaps rework as necessary.
