How come my screens do not look like this?

would my data be held in the cloud, or can I keep it on my computer and back it up my own way?

Do I need to renew it every year and how do I do it

I have used Quicken "Classic" for years and years.
I installed a new version on my PC (after uninstalling the old software) and it converted my data file, but then demanded a Quicken account and login. It was a nightmare, and I am very very dissatisfied with the experience.

This new "subscription" version is horribly invasive. I do not want any "subscription." I do not want to have to logon to a website to manage my own finances. I enter all my data manually, and am very happy to do so.

I uninstalled the new version using the installer and tried to reinstall my old version. It did not work. My Luckily, I had created a windows restore point, so could replace the registry and wipe out the Quicken mess. I had to do some manual restoration as restoring WIndows is imperfect. That took a few hours, but now I am back to where I was with the old version, and WIndows is operating normally.
I wish that the company that owns Quicken would offer a non-subscription installation from CD or from a download installation file.
