I bet there are some people hating on little knives when they got a big ass bowie, pretty sure any fixed blades can do very similar tasks like batoning, dressing game, and carving, the bigger the knife, the more space it takes up, and yes I know that a bigger knife can be used as a machete or axe, sheaths are placed on belts for a reason

i use mine primarily as edc blade/hidden carry in the city. for camping its just too small for me. for carving i use a reprofiled esee 4 because of the more comfortable handle (i have large hands). therefore i prefer a thicker/wider handle right around the index finger. i am not saying it cant be done with the necker. the quality of the necker 2 is pretty amazing. in terms of fit n finish its my best knive.

I'm a big fan of Survive! Knives they are tough to get a hold of unless you get in on a preorder. I was lucky that I took a trip to Gettysburg last spring and while I was there tracked Guy at his shop and got to meet him. I left with a GSO 10 after watching him put the scales on it, it was really cool and Guy is a great guy, no pun intended!

I recently received my Necker II and it is as good as this excellent review says it is. The handle is really comfortable in your hand and allows precise control of the blade for fine work. Also, you can put some real force behind it for cutting thick cardboard, fabric, or plastic. For EDC, this is better than a folder. Put it in your pocket or wear it on your belt or from the neck chain. The finger hole takes some getting used to but once you feel comfortable with it the knife works great. It is amazing what you can do with such a short, wide blade.  Get one. You won't be disappointed.

Nice review! Sucks to forget to turn on the mic for the interview, sometimes you just gotta laugh at yourself. Good work.

Cool knife! I would like to have at least two knives. One for small tasks like carving and the other for bigger tasks.

Good looking blade, like the handle design. Also like how easy it is to piggyback onto the larger sheath.

Excellent review! I'm all about that SURVIVE! Necker, but I love the look of that Necker II. What I did notice (in addition to that sweet beard) was your hoodie! What makes it? Thanks.

Hi nice video, First I was born in NYC and I don't know a whole lot about surviving in the woods, But how do I justify a $140 knife? I bought one in a hock shop for $15 (It's by frost cutlery) what more would this knife do that mine won't. I see alot of vids that review 2-3-4-500 dollar knifes how are they better than say a $50 one.

Looks nice, wouldn't be able to edc that here in the uk but if i could i would only use that for small tasks in the woods practicing skill and not for self defense, that finger hole has "broken finger" all over it ha ha slight twist of the hand and pinkie fingers pointing the wrong way lol great review BlackScoutSurvival keep up the great work!
