Creating a Visual Diary By Drawing Daily | Sketchbook Tour

Показать описание
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
Drawing makes me happy, and I assume it makes you happy too as you're watching this. I want to encourage you to draw every day, even if it's just for five minutes. Why wouldn't we do what makes us happy, right?
When you draw daily, you'll fill sketchbook after sketchbook with your art.
In this video, I’m sharing another sketchbook tour with you. I myself love flipping through other people’s sketchbooks. Whether they’re beginners or advanced, I find it super inspiring. I hope my sketchbook tours spark inspiration for you as well. It’s all about doing art every day, wherever you are.
Sketchbook shown:
Fabriano sketchbook, 200 grams, 15x23 cm, 6"x9". Although I initially thought it was watercolor paper, it’s still great for various wet media.
Throughout this sketchbook, I’ve captured everything from garden views, live sessions with patrons, drawing on location, and simple subjects right in front of me.
I’ve drawn on the go in Paris, while teaching a workshop with Sabine Wisman. There are also pages you'll recognise from previous Draw Tip Tuesday videos.
Each page tells a story, creating a visual diary of my adventures and everyday moments.
Remember, you don’t need a tumultuous life to draw. Just draw whatever is in front of you, even when it seems mundane, and you’ll be telling your own interesting story throughout your pages.
Your assignment for this week:
Grab your sketchbook, pick up your favorite pen, draw what’s in front of you, do it every day. Embrace the wonkiness, and most importantly, have fun! See you next week!
