You know, Black women's commitment to learning, understanding, beautifying, and being patient with our hair is its own love story.💗

Can we talk about how YouTube gave us a space to see each other and learn from each other? I love this for us!

This song takes me back!
My wife and I had called it "quits" in 2000. We were 28-29 years old.
I was too lost; missing her and our 4 kids!

This song gave me a certain "strength" to reach a different gear that I had been ignoring while being married to her.
I, WE, had gotten too comfortable within our relationship.
Fast forward to 2024? Okay.
We have 2 grandchildren and another on the way!
We are headed to Dallas, Tx, to celebrate our oldest granddaughters birthday today(14 years old)!

Trust the process, allow what you can't control, BREATHE, and keep living!❤😢😂😊 💯
And yes, she is a part of the lawsuit concerning that perm mishap, too!
She has been natural for 15 years now!

I read a comment on a YT short that read something like:

“Black women’s commitment to understanding, nurturing, and being patient with our hair is a love story in and of itself”

I just thought that was so beautifully put.
I also think your hair is beautiful, it highlights so much dimension to your features

This is so true! I love walking past knowing my hair is the healthiest it’s ever been. It’s exactly like walking away from a toxic relationship.

This brought tears to my eyes! After watching this a few times. Because growing up in the 70’s, black people were very proud of our natural hair, it represented endurance strength plus culture. And it also showed our uniqueness. Much 🖤🤎🖤🤎 to the black women of the world who finally realize that we are beautiful no matter the hair type.

So proud and happy how far we have came as a community and finally learning to read ingredients because that was never made to help us 👏🏽. Our hair is beautiful no matter the texture or length. Health over everything!
