Such a great video brotha. Hard edge selections like this have been my nemesis. When select and mask came out I was stoked and thought that it was going to finally be easy for me. Still haven’t been able to get this to work for me.

Great intro to the tool, Mark. Can’t wait to see the full selections and masking tutorial when it is available. I’ve been devouring this type of info, as well as blending info. My philosophy is that any serious photographer (even amateur) eventually becomes fairly proficient in the capture process, and that population of serious photographers is capable of producing, within a fairly narrow band, about the same level of high quality RAW capture. The difference between good and great is in editing, and the best editors have mastered selections and masks, blending, and sharpening. The final ingredient has to be patience and a plan of attack when working the image and not accepting a “it’s good enough” mindset and shortcutting the plan. Thanks for all the info you put out there! I’ll be grabbing that tutorial when it becomes availabe.
