I worked as a waiter in a Chinese restaurant for 2 years. We often worked 12 hour days six days a week. It really taught me how working harder makes you more money, and more appreciative of a shorter working day. Now 8 hour days feel like getting off early. It was a very valuable experience and I grew to love Chinese people and ways of thinking

Living within a society that has learned to avoid difficulties rather than address them i see a great deal of dissatisfaction. The US was a different place after WWII. The Chinese have the formula for success and satisfaction, treasure it the process is more important that the goal.
