Israel intercepts missiles amid Iran's barrage of strikes, IDF says

Explosions and loud booms echoed throughout parts of Israel following Iran's retaliatory strike that began Saturday night. The IDF says the vast majority of the missiles have been intercepted. CBS News' Natalie Brand and Samantha Vinograd report.

This wasn't a real attack. Iran needed to publicly respond to Israel attacking the embassy, but also did not want to escalate. this attack was just PR for the iranian people. Why it was a fake attack?

1. They announced it at the time of launching stuff. Giving the US, UK and Israel time to get jets in the sky to shoot down the drones. Who announces launching an attack in advance?
2. They launched the missiles and drones at the same time. If this was a real attack, , the missiles would have been launched 4 hours after the drones so they arrive together. Instead the iron dome gets to easily take down a few missiles, and the drones are destroyed before ever getting out of Iraq.
3. Hezbollah has thousands of missiles in Lebanon. If this were a real attack, they would have launched them at the same time the drones were arriving.

This was worked out in advance. The deal is that Iran attacks Israel poorly, giving Israel every chance to prevent any damage. Iran gets to talk tough to it's own people and fan club, and Israel agrees not to retaliate or escalate. You will see when Israel does not attack anything in Iran....
