Akai needs to add a boot sequence to this unit Anything to indicate it's alive after being connected. Everyone's thinking they're DOA. :D I did too until I pushed a button and it lit up. Nice iteration in the series. If you're on the fence, get one.

For everybody this saying that it won't power up I promise you I had the same exact problem not even 5 minutes ago... I was mad but I have other things going on. I was about to quit on it and I hit a series of buttons to the right side of it, and it came right on! I'm going to figure out what I did!!!

I didn't think I would like the 64 pads on my Force, but I love it now! If I was using Abelton - this would be automatic if I didn't have Force.

Don´t do a short press, hold it for 1 or 2 seconds. took me a while to figured out.

Yo tuve un problema, ingreso en un modo sin haber tocado nada que parecía un modo de prueba.
El primer fader controlaba los 64 botones en Rojo.
El segundo fader controlaba los 64 botones en Verde.
El tercer fader controlaba los 64 botones en Azul.
RGB.
Era un modo genial la verdad pero ni idea como ingresé en ese modo, y solo servía para eso.
El problema fue cuando abrí mi programa para usarlo, NO ME ENCENDÍAN NINGUNO DE LOS 64 LEDS.
Hasta hoy en día sigo con ese problema, preste mi control a un amigo. Le pasó lo mismo y creo que al bajar o subir los faders por completo ya no se enciende el color que controla ese fader, así que ahora solo me funciona el verde y azul.
El rojo no me funciona, y ya entre en el modo Drum, Note y no encuentro el problema.

The control surface doesn't appear...any way to download the apc mini MKII template? I'm user of APC 40 MKII and works well. But this only recognize MIDI I/O and can't work...

Oh nice would AKAI APC KEY 25 MK2 this work well for guitarist or better the Akai apc mini without keyboard 🎹 or can I combine both with a Akai MPC one ?
