Dyno testing the Unitronic 4' Intake System VS the Integrated Engineering Intake System - Audi RS3

Unitronic finally released their long awaited 4" intake system for the Audi RS3. I got my hands on one as soon as I possibly could. I then went straight to Evolution Auto Performance to have a dyno comparison done to see which system makes more power. I was thrilled with the results and am very happy with yet another Unitronic purchase for my RS3. Here are the links to both the intake and the turbo inlet that I have previously compared and tested:

Here is a link to the video of the dyno comparison I did of the Unitronic 4" Turbo Inlet:

As usual, thanks for the great info, Adam. There are a lot of us that appreciate all the work you do to answer the questions we all wonder about!

Peak gains are cool but to me the more important figures are the average power and torque gains of 10hp and 12lbft! That's pretty solid for swapping intakes.

Can't wait to see the results! and subbed.

Great video. Short but informative intro and then straight to the dyno! And the enthusiasm is as awesome as usual!

You should have put a new integrated engineering filter that would had made a diff, but l think its between dyno error reading and coolant temp etc(difference on the dyno), your best bet its to measure a 100-150km and 100-200km time(dragy or vbox) with both intakes, log all the parameters and see real data with the gps tool, but good vid man l enjoy it .

Wicked #s!Keep up the good work.Just bought a S3.Keep making vids so in a year from now when I trade up to a RS3 I will know what the best parts selection to use!

So, I want to higlight some facts I observed... The very first IE pull seemed weird, as the torque was way less than on all other runs... and he actually mentioned slipping or something like that in the video... And if we only compare always the 2nd dyno runs, the results are actually as follows:

IE: 570.2hp / 553.3lb-ft
U-RF: 567.6 hp / 551.6 lb-ft
U-SF: 565.7 hp / 549.4 lb-ft

Suddenly data speaks more for the IE 🧐 ...

Not saying any is better, just that these are my observations on these runs

Yo! Great vid again.. I almost bought the unitronic intake. But their dealer in Belgium said it was going to take a while etc... so I bought the AWE 4.5" full carbon intake.

Another great video Adam! I am a current 2019 SQ5 Prestige owner with a JB4 on it. Hopefully, I may secure a 2019 RS3 soon and will be looking to add some power items without a potential TD1 issue for service. I may go with a 4" Air intake and Turbo Inlet from Unitronic and a JB4 unit for a reasonable bump in power. I don't mind keeping the power increase mild to maintain the warranty for the time being as I can just unplug the JB4 before service. Ultimately, I may go with a Stage 1+ ECU and Stage 2 TCU tune from Unitronic after awhile. Thanks again for the product comparison!

unitronic intake definitely sounded more throaty. im debating between this or the eventuri

Why do you have the hood open dyno tuning? With the hood open it will give you a inaccurate reading

How come all 4 wheels are turning it suppose to be a 4 wheel drive

The Eventuri air intake system is boasting as being the best currently. To me it looks like the best air intake, have you done any tests on it yet?

I guess you need to also try the AWE S FLO since thats 4.5 inches. Hank has found the intake tube needs to be as big as possible as he runs something like 5 inch custom tube.

This is massive power on a stock turbo
