In this week's video I talk about some of the other equipment on our network. Some of which I support, some of which are vendor supported. This is all the non-Extreme equipment.

Hey! Loved this video, currently setting up a VoIP System, so its really interesting. Also nice to see a ASA 5505. I decommisioned mine actually yesterday, due to my service contract ending and moving on to bigger solutions. Great piece of hardware, rock-solid tho. I am also a huge defender of using single use servers (referring to another answer you posted to a comment here), totally agree with you there - if you lose one service, its easier to restore than a Windows DC, combined with File Services, IIS, Exchange and SharePoint on one Server (Looking at SBS 2011, seriously, what was Microsoft thinking)?

Anyways, hope you're fine, greets from Austria (Not australia!) :)

Good morning and happy fathers day! Awesome Awesome video! I love it when you take us on a tour of the MDF and IDF's! I'm not all that interested either in the collaboration and telephony side of networking, although it is facinating, but can u maybe show us a network diagram of the topology of the phone system? Those look like some beefy routers that handle voice traffic you showed us! That call system, where you wear the device on your lapel is awesome too! I've noticed it being in the hospital and the nurses wearing them to communicate! Are you guys using Wi-Fi 6 in the hospital to facilitate that system? I'm looking forward 2 seeing you in action with your aircraft as well! Again thank you for a great tour and peace & blessings to you! Cheers!

Happy Father’s Day. Thanks for the tour. I’ve used a lot of different switches over the years. Cisco, Brocade, Arista, Extreme, Meraki. I think I like Extremes CLI the best, well it’s basically a Linux kernel. Palo’s are great, a huge improvement over ASA. I wondered how the Vocera’s worked, they have them at the hospital here.

I take it you have a cabling vendor? What about VMware and server stuff… do you do that to, or is networking your primary focus?
