Super Mario Odyssey is a 3D platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. An installment in the Super Mario series, the story follows Mario and Cappy, a spirit that possesses Mario's hat and allows him to take control of other characters and objects, as they set on a journey across various worlds to save Princess Peach from his nemesis Bowser, who plans to marry her.

Came here after I supposedly "Completed" this game with 900 moons collected. When I heard that you unlock an ultimate ending after collecting 999, I slumped in my chair a little bit. I think I'll save that coin grind for another time.

People keep mentioning the easiness of getting some moons and I feel they are missing the point. The quality of difficulty of the moons is for the casual player with the difficulty setting built into the game of more difficult moons. That moon is too hard for you to get? Don't worry it's not required to beat the stage. You want to 100% this stage? Well good luck and you'll have to know all of Mario's tricks to do it. The easy moons are great fun for my 7 year old when he plays and I can still get a great challenge on finding the harder moons and some of the more difficult platforming. It provides both children and adults with a great gaming experience tailored to their skill levels without having to have a difficulty setting built into the game. (I know they have assist mode, but even my 7 year old didn't want to play that)

I don't understand people being angry at the number of Moons per stage.

This is still a game that should be possible to be played by children and adults alike. Thus, there's a lot of VERY easy Moons to find everywhere for kids, but a fair bit of challenge for adults too. I understand that "back in the day" we had it harder etc., but what's wrong with this current way? If a kid falls in love with the game, he'll go for 100% completion. If he just plays for fun and less for challenge - he can still enjoy the full game.

Before I got the game, I read everywhere that it had too many moons and that most of them were too easy to find.
I disagree because literally every single moon is fun to find.

I‘m 55+ hours into the game with 750+ moons collected and it still doesn‘t get stale.

Best 3D Mario game ever hands down.
