HiPEAC: 17 Years of Growing an HPC Community in Europe

In this talk, given at the Supercomputing 2021 (SC21) conference, HiPEAC coordinator Koen De Bosschere introduces the HiPEAC network to the international high-performance computing (HPC) community. Drawing on the experience gained over 17 years of creating a network of elite computing systems researchers, he highlights the main lessons learned in community building.
