I worked at a Wendy's a long time ago. Yes, they do use the "left over" meat, but not what people are thinking. When you make burgers, you have to discard it after a certain amount of time. Which isn't long. The meat isnt bad or spoiled. I'd rather them repurpose the meat instead of throwing it away. I love Wendy's chili.

People upset about them reusing leftover meat but that's literally where chili and stews came from. Back in the day they took the cuts of meat that no one wanted and threw it into a pot with a bunch of other stuff.

I’ll never understand the argument people have against Wendy’s using left over meat for their chili, it’s not like it has gone bad or anything and instead of literally just wasting the meat they make chili with it. People should probably praise the fact that they as a big company aren’t being completely wasteful in that regard unlike many other companies in the fast food industry.

The meat sets for like 4 mins before they discard it for chili it just gets put in a warmer then thrown in ziplocs and froze till needed but it doesnt sit for long at all before they set it aside for chili, and it also makes sure your getting pretty fresh burgers to be honest
