The new Marantz M-CR610 Wireless Network CD Receiver offers a unique solution for those who want a good source for audio but can't fit a full-fledged AV receiver into a space. Maybe it's a dorm room or an office. You also don't like the idea of using your laptop, and maybe you don't relish the though of dealing with the limited stereo separation afforded by most desktop speakers. Thanks for the great video review. When you mentioned using this as an office receiver my ears perked. I then saw the price ($700) and my jaw dropped. Seemed insanely expensive when a much more feature rich AVR from Denon would be nearly 1/2 the price, albeit in a physically larger package. :(

I got lucky, paid 450 on eBay. The sound is amazing.. my only complaints are no Bluetooth and its kinda slow at reading my thumb drive.

Hi! This unit has got an 'audio out' at the rear. Can it be used as a 'pre-amp' as well, where the 'out' changes with the volume control?? And what is the DAC it uses? Does it use famous brands like Wolfson, Cirrus or Burr Brown?

I just bought the M-CR611 and joined it with Totem Kin Mini....Fantastic sound and image for such a small sound system...Go hear it...you won't be dissapointed

This music player is crap. If you want to use it to listen to spotify dont bother as the marantz app is beyond a joke. The UI is the worst. The spotify connect is not supported on this system. I got this with some Q acoustics concept 20s and i can honestly say thay the sound quality is average at best. My cheap 16 yr old pioneer is far superior in sound quality. Save your money and get something good
