Wilhelmus --- [Dutch national anthem] --- (1932)

-History:
Wilhelmus is the oldest anthem in the world, dating back to 1570 during the 80 years war. The lyrics used in this video were directly taken from the first writings of the song. The original has a lot of verses and takes more then 10 minutes to play. Most recordings of the song therefore only sing 2 or 3 stanzas. The 80 years ended with the peace of Münster in 1648 when the spanish oficially recognized the Dutch republic as a nation. The 80 years war is a very interesting topic and I suggest reading some more about it.
