CBSE School Affiliation Ke Liye Land, Infrastructure Aur Documents Kya Chahiye?

Land and Requirement Based on School Type and Location:
● Land Area: As per CBSE Bye-Laws 2018, the land area varies based on school type and location. For metropolitan cities, a minimum of 1 acre is required, while for other areas, it's typically 1.5 acres. In hilly areas, as defined by NITI Aayog, the requirement is reduced.
● Land Ownership: The land must be registered in the name of the school/trust/society/company. For leased land, a minimum term of 15 years is mandatory.
● Contiguity and Security: The school land should be contiguous and secured with a pucca boundary wall of at least 6 feet in height.
● Land Use: Change land use to ‘For Educational Purpose’ with the land revenue office. If the land is more than required, change the land use only for the required portion.
● Location: Ensure no public road, railway line, stream, canal, or power lines cross the land.
2. Documentation for CBSE Affiliation:
● Society/Trust/Company Registration: Required for establishing the legal entity of the school.
● Land Certificate: Issued by CBSE, confirming the land status.
● Land Registry Papers or Lease Deed: Legal documents proving ownership or lease.
● State/UT Government NOC: Mandatory No Objection Certificate from the respective state or union territory.
● Building Map: Approved building plan.
3. Facilities and Infrastructure:
● Classroom Space: Minimum of 1 sq. mtr per student. Classrooms should be at least 8m x 6m.
● Student Capacity: Optimum number of students per section should not exceed 40.
● Library: Minimum size of 14m x 8m, with at least 1500 books and 5 books per student.
● Laboratories: Science labs (9m x 6m), computer lab (1:20 computer-student ratio), and math lab (8m x 6m).
● Extracurricular Facilities: Separate or multipurpose rooms for music, dance, arts, and sports.
● Playground: Adequate for a 200m track, volleyball court, and other outdoor sports.
● Accessibility: Facilities for wheelchair users, including ramps and auditory signals in elevators/lifts as per RPWD Act- 2016.
● Sanitation: Hygienic toilets on each floor, separate for boys, girls, primary students, and staff.
● Health and Safety: Portable water, health & hygiene, fire safety, building safety, and transport precautions as per local body directives.
● Technology: At least one computer lab with a minimum of 20 computers, broadband connectivity, and cyber safety mechanisms.
