Well, since I'm one of the 8 women (🤣🤣🤣), I have to say, that men that wear distressed jeans just need to wear them CORRECTLY and paired with a nice shirt.
It could be a nice, basic tee with NO graphics or a button-down.
Everything else you've mentioned is good!
