Some of these hit the Earth 12.800 years ago, and this period then was called The Younger Dryas. The tiny bits disintegrate in our atmosphere, you see the light produced by its contact with our atmosphere, but bigger ones could ho through it and hit us, and that happened in 2013 when a bigger piece hit Russia Ural's area...
