Seller wants $59 then drops to $55k
George offers 44k
George will retail for $55, 11/44 =0.25%
If no one bites on the M2 he drops his pants to $50k, 6/44 = 13.6%
George has to keep his salesman paid or they leave - so he has them complete the transaction for 50% of the commish
The other half covers overhead and profit
A beginner moves 10 cars/month
Seasoned salesman with a book of business moves 15-25 cars per month
Buy your car at the end of the month
Salesman want to make their target
Dealership wants to get old cars off the books and buy new inventory.
It’s a numbers game - some customers pay full boat and the smart ones negotiate - if the dealer won’t negotiate then find another dealer - it’s all profit - worst case they send the car back to Mannheim auction and just eat the transport fees. It’s not personal it’s business - find a way with every deal and add to the P&L statement.

59k is way too much for a f87 comp. the g87 is only a couple bucks more. highest that will go is 55k if its got super low miles. more like 50-52 realistically
