I feel like the most missed or just not understood line is "never thought justice would come from a judge under a seat." Taurus judge, one of the most fun pistols to shoot.

I like how you said, "As a man, when you see something like that, you got one instinct..." That is not "toxic masculinity, " that's just the real thing, God love you. And I'm glad for it.

Wait in the truck = I'll handle this. I learned that as a small child.

This hits very close to home.
My brother is on trial right now and I pray for mercy for him. The only peace I have is knowing that my niece is alive and her abuser was sent to the same place Hardy sent the guy in this song.
My prayers go out to anyone that is in this situation. God Bless and much love

Let someone lay hands on my daughter...I'd tell her to just wait in the truck, for sure! Great reaction

She's still "waiting in the truck" waiting for his release. She takes care of his stuff, waiting. That's a damn good woman right there.

I just recently discovered this song and scrolling through the comments and seeing how many women, including myself, can relate is absolutely heartbreaking! We all know the law doesn't protect us until it's too late! My opinion is quite biased whether he was right or wrong in his actions! However, if I had been his attorney, I would have bent, twisted and argued the justifiable homicide defense to fit his "crime"! Sometimes doing the right thing and obeying the law are two completely different things!

As a victim of domestic violence, I prayed someone would hear me screaming and step in to help like this, but nobody ever did. I tried leaving so many times, and each time he would catch me. He got good at not hitting my face cause those bruises are so hard to hide. The last time I said I was leaving, he threw me into a set of bunk beds and after I fell to the floor, he jumped on me and punched me repeatedly in the hip, upper thigh, and right buttock. He tried to make it so I couldn't walk. After he calmed down a bit, I told him I wanted to go for a walk and smoke a cigarette so I could calm down and so we could talk like adults. I limped around the block, hoping someone would stop and see if I was ok, but everyone just smiled and waved. I knew I had to get out that night or else he was going to beat me to death. I stopped outside the restaurant that was kitty corner from the house and called my dad. I didn't even get a chance to tell him what happened cause as soon as he heard me crying, he threw the phone to my mom and ran out to his truck. He showed up and got me away from my ex. I now have my concealed carry license and carry my 9mm everytime I leave my house

It took me a minute too. About justice coming from under the seat.

Best way to insure that stir doesn’t happen again.
Had a similar situation in college. Didn’t end it like this but the guy spent 3 weeks in ICU drinking jello through a straw.
He quit school and left the country after that.

Here in the south we protect our wemon and young wemon. It's the cost were going to take. I was always grone up to yes ma'am no ma'am and take care of my sisters and the family wemon. So I can see justice.

It truly breaks my heart to see so many women who has had to deal with this kind of abuse I am so sorry that so many have been treated like this. I have been married for 30 years and have never even thought of laying hands on my wife. Anyone who abuses a woman is a coward.

THIS is what real country music is all about.

Every...single...abused woman prays for a guy like this, to protect her & just make it stop. 💯 He didn't run because he only did what was RIGHT.
>>This song is so perfectly written & phrased...it makes me cry every time I hear it. #WaitInTheTruck

In the south... especially the country with those old school country boys, when a man says wait in the truck, it's because some bad shit is about to happen, and he dosnt want you to have to see it.

From the brief glimpse of the "Judge under his seat", it looks as though he's referencing a Taurus Raging Judge 513SS6 model revolver. It can chamber both .45 Colt rounds as well as .410 shotgun shells, that's the "Judge" she sings in the chorus...I think there are 12 different models of Judge revolvers, they're a damn good sidearm to have when the situation calls for the use of a weapon...🤘🏻🇺🇸

My favorite part is “It ain’t paradise that’s true….but it’s a whole hell of a lot better than the place I sent him to”

Great reaction. Not everyone catches that she's in the truck at the end. Powerful song with 2 great artists.
