It's unlikely that the range extender will be easy to install/remove, BECAUSE it has to be wired in parallel with the big battery, so voltages need to match perfectly when you connect it. Removing it may be easier., but still has to be done by a qualified technician to properly separate the cooling loops and wiring.

My invite was sent and accepted in December of 2023 when I made a $1, 000 non refundable deposit with a delivery date stated as January through March. I'm still waiting for a VIN as of April 12, and have heard nothing other than an email asking me to confirm and accept that many of the features are not yet functional. Have to say, as a TSLA investor from 2019 when 30% of the stock was sold short as well as a first hour reservation holder, seeing celebrities and others getting early deliveries feels like a big slap in the face.

Preorder people who "secured" FSD for $7000 get screwed when buying Foundation Series....THey force you to buy FSD and all accessories at full retail price. This is why i didnt configure yet.
