Barn Find 2000 Ford 7.3 Super Duty

Barn Find = sitting long time for gremlins to develop. So far, it needs brake work and a fuel leak fixed and tires. The truck is practically an antique by numbers. It runs good once it has enough battery to crank.
65k miles.

Works. If you find yourself doing this more often, i suggest getting a winch for harbor freight. I really have appreciated having mine.

Nice truck, we’ve loaded trailers like that by pulling stuff on that didn’t run. Those cars look like something I’d picture John Dillinger driving with those big water drop headlights.

I purchased my 7.3 new in 97. Has 272k on it now. Still going strong. If you want some advice. Hot shot secret diesel extreme in the fuel. Arch oil friction modifier AR 9100 in some fresh oil of your choosing. Do any other maintenance. Make the necessary repairs. ( Can't be much with only 65k ) You'll have absolutely the best truck money can buy!!!!

Might need a hose clamp on the top radiator hose. I enjoy your videos 👍👍

Them Fords like to eat calipers so if your going to replace rotors replace calipers. CARQUEST did make them coated. If you got to drop the tank to fix that fuel leak might as well clean the filters inside. Some people say to remove them. IDK if that's necessary. The oil pans like to rust out and leak so inspect that. Oh nice truck.

Well hey, in November I got 2000 F 350, 7.3, stick, same cab as you, but long bed, but with 100k more than yours. This one was a currently being used farm truck, though. So far, so good.

That should be a good truck once you get it sorted out.

Truck just needs optional tow mirrors marvel mystery oil and power services additives in fuel 👍😎

Gonna be a nice one when you get everything sorted out, those were some good engines compared to what they put out today.

If that fuel leak is coming down from the back of the engine could be the lift pump. It's behind the fuel filter and there's a weep hole that leaks and runs down the back when their bad.

A harbor freight trip in you future lol get a 12k winch and mount it on the truck for getting your toys in the future and I have a 01 250 7.3 I have

That’s a nice truck Jacob, just FYI the glow plugs stay one even after the light goes out. When it’s cold out it make a difference if you wait at least 45 seconds to a minute before cranking it over.

Go with Ford motorcraft calipers, aftermarket seize up in no time. Napa, federated, autozone all have issues after a couple years. Nice find!
