32 adjacent bits is "Double Word".
in assembly language, DD means Define DoubleWord which is equivalent to 32 adjacent bits.

Okay I see your logic here and it makes sense. I can not disagree with this. However, I am just confused how is 16 bits a word and 32 bits a double word, when my textbook (RISC-V Edition) says 32 is a word and 64 is a double word. Why is there this disagreement? Could I be missing something?

Nibble not correct
4 bit is digit
If I need to rest the lower Nibble of the hexadecimal number 12A4, where's the lower Nibble?
