How much string should I use? Just for the main tie part

Tut sorta: (not the entire thing jsut the stitch)
Get an arm length of string
Put your beads from row one on the string
String both sides of string through
Pull!

How much string do u need? I can understand how to make it cause it’s similar to making a worm. It’s a simple ladder stitch but takes so long. I’ve never made a Kandi tie before, but I’ve been thinking about making one (without a tut cause I’m a psychopath) but idk how much string I’ll need :3
