My fav is 95 98se 2000 xp 7 8.1 and windows 11

Windows xp and 7 were the best version of windows. They changed the working experience drastically from their predecessors. At this time, i love windows 10. But recently i installed windows 11 to explore new features 😁😁

I have them all also in a Virtualbox VM! I only use the last versions, so Windows 1.04 instead of 1.01. Dell made me switch to Linux (Ubuntu), after selling me a new Dell laptop in 2008 with Windows Vista and a slow 160GB HDD (40MB/s). The only Windows I still use weekly is the Windows XP Home VM, I use it to play the wma copies of my CDs and LPs with WoW and TrueBass effects :) That VM has been installed and activated in March 2010, the time that Sun owned Virtualbox. The other Windows I still remember fondly was Windows for Workgroups 3.11 with home networking and Internet connectivity.

Except the GUI improvements of Windows 95, Windows for Workgroups 3.11 had already all new technical improvements, that most people detected for the first time in Windows 95. And I never forget 3.11's dual pane file manager :)
