Tip for when your curl is too tight — don’t use the iron to loosen it. That’ll be unnecessary extra heat. Grab the curl and pull it taut for a second or two. It will loosen. If it is only too tight in one spot, (for example — at the bottom), grab it from the middle with one hand and at the bottom/ ends with the other hand, and pull that section taut for a moment. Do this while the hair is still hot from the iron.
