FSS, the creator of the E Jets (which have been very slow to improve and lack a lot of features 2yrs post-release) are now releasing another new aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator - the Boeing 727-200 Freighter!

Offering a much more retro/old school feel and style of flight, the aircraft is quite the handful. Throughout the video I showcase as many key features as I can and help you (hopefully) decide whether you want to spend the 40EUR/$42USD on it!

I flew more than 6 thousand hours on this beautiful aircraft. Looks pretty well rendered. Sounds with the windows opened are pretty accurate. Can't wait to fly it on MSFS!

Can’t wait. The FJS 727 was one of my first add ons for XP11 and flew that to death. Hopefully trained me well to cope with the FE station as well as the handling.

I bought it. It's great. Finally an analog jetliner for MSFS. Hope this developer makes other classic analog jets in the future. I grew up when all those oldies were new. My first plane ride was in 1955 on a brand new AA DC-7. Great review!

I'm in Bogotá visiting the in-laws and was admiring the (very loud) Aerosucre 727s overhead just yesterday and wondering if there was a good MSFS model. The timing is stunning!

Um, with a critical Mach of .90, the 727-200 is an extremely aerodynamic aircraft especially given its first rollout was in 1963. How do I know? My father retired from the Boeing Company in Seattle in 1996 as an aerodynamicist at the wind tunnel. I was an FE on the -200.

I waited so long for this plane. Tough footsteps to follow after the FlyJSim 727 for Xplane. The FJS one sounds better, but I get that this is pre-release and developers these days tend to listen to critics as well. I will still buy it of course, it's a steal.

Loving the in cockpit sounds before start (haven’t got further yet :D). Everything whirring away. I can almost smell the thing :)

Too bad they're not releasing the passenger version and liveries tomorrow, but I know having read their website FAQ, those will eventually come out. Date to be determined. Pretty exciting stuff. In the meantime, cargo operations it is. I love the DHL livery.

EDIT/ADDITION: Your description says the aircraft will be available on Aerosoft. I thought it was only available on the FSS website. Am I incorrect? What's the difference buying it at one of the websites vs. the other? Nothing?
