Remember: even though the relevant section of this document (which is a few paragraphs long) **is** considered a part of the Magisterium, when it comes to the commentary that Joe relies on for its exposition and application... well, I'll let you see what I say about that in that portion of my video.

*Extra Note: I mention @ 23:17 that I wasnt completely sure which group the website belonged to. The group is called "The Church of the Genuine Orthodox Christians (GOC)" and it is a part of the Old Calendarist break-off group from mainstream Eastern Orthodoxy. The problem with Tu Quoque as a fallacy concept is that while "your house is on fire too" doesn't disprove "you're house is on fire, " it certainly disproves "you should sleep in my house instead of his house."

It truly is a bankrupt apologetic that Ecclesialist apologists keep trying to roll out - "we have a means to have an infallible list of infallible teachings". If you can't even identify which teachings are infallible then the doctrine of infallibility is completely meaningless.

Bravo, Javier. This was Ortlund-level good. Especially the last five or so minutes, that part made me get almost get teary-eyed. After years and years of following these (often nasty) debates and discussions online, I feel like your closing statements are the clear and obvious answer that is desperately needed. Enough with the false comparisons! Let's compare either "Ecclesialism" to Protestantism, or Roman Catholicism to a specific "Protestant" denomination. For those who then despair of finding the "One True Church", the answer is to drop that modern idea of Cartesian certainty and simply accept the fact that the True Church is not limited to one institution. We are not saved by our own perfect scholarship and exemplary theological erudition (which would in itself become a kind of works-righteousness). Blessings from a Lebanese Maronite-Lutheran

I know your point at @2:40:00 is rhetorical, but unironically: we differ over some things as a Lutheran and Anglican respectively, and yet heartily embrace one another as brothers. Our divines nor our confessions require us to anathematize each other over, say, the nature of the law gospel relationship. The ecclesialist traditions historically did damn one another over these things. So one must ask: who has greater unity and agreement after all?

"The ecclesialists disagree on things" yeah that's why they condemn each other. You maintain that, somehow, Protestants all have valid traditions despite being different. At least "ecclesialists" are consistent.
