Like any good waiter, he kept his hands behind his back the entire time so he could discreetly carve the order into his flesh.

The slow panic on the waiter's face was hilarious.

The twist would have been if he actually get it after all.

Had a waiter at Lone Star Queenstown do this flawlessly a few years back. Took the food and drinks orders for a table of 9 where every single person had a change to the standard menu. He went and checked with the kitchen and then came back and confirmed our order going round the table repeating each person's order IN A DIFFERENT ORDER and did it perfectly. Man was a legend.

I actually had a waiter at an IHOP who could ACTUALLY remember every single little detail of an order. And we sure as hell made it difficult for him too. He was way up for the challenge. We tipped this poor underpaid waiter 60 dollars for his skill alone

Seeing a large part of the cast like this together is really great, I'd love to see more videos like this.

Been a waiter for 7 years now, and this was so accurate. I could feel the pain and anxiety Alan just went through. Great video as always

"Excuse me, is the waiter that just ran out the front door returning soon?" "Waiter? He doesn't work here."

One time I was at a diner with a big group of friends and our server didn’t have a notebook, yet he was able to get everybody’s orders right. Then, about a week later, a couple of people from our group went to the same diner for lunch and had that same waiter, and when they commented on his amazing memory he demonstrated his skills by repeating back the entire group’s order from the week previous. He even remembered where everyone had been sitting. We were a huge group; there were about 15 of us sitting in this one area of the diner.

It was a long time ago, but I really hope that guy was able to do something amazing with his life because of his skills.

Waiting for a part two when Alan comes back after quickly buying the avocados that were out of stock (because he does also memorize the inventory) and recites perfectly with every served dish what they have ordered originally and how they have changed their orders.

It would have been just as funny if he brought the whole order flawlessly then corrected them each when they didn't remember there own order...

I've experienced this as a customer, was with a group of 14 and the waiter went to each person individually, then back around with changes, there were 3 kids too. Even with drink orders from a few of the folks, and food allergies, the guy knocked it out of the park, only coming back to clarify he had it right for the 2 people with allergies, I expect to give them more confidence. He got a hefty tip as he was also super attentive for refills/requests. Wasn't even a pricy restaurant.

It’s like how Rowan always used to run away from Playtech any time he got stressed. Haha
“Alan, you can’t run away, you’re the waiter!!!”

This brings back memories. Fuzzy, horrible, nightmarish memories. 38 year old, PTSD-inducing memories. Was so relieved when he ran away!

Customers: "Do you got it all?"
Alan: "Yes!" [Showing his recording device]

I did this back when I was a waiter, in college and it was a golden rule that even if you could memorize orders, always right it down just in case on tables of 4 and more. Even if you get it PERFECTLY, you will have a customer, who forgot to do something on their order, and instead of admitting they just forgot to tell you, they will say that they said it, but you forgot, and now they want their meal UGH don't be a server, if you have plans to continue "liking" people in the future. After 3 years I would look at people with disgust.... Ask any other long term server to prove it is true.

As a former waiter, I used to always write everything down without fail. Never felt like I needed the extra anxiety of trying to memorize it and possibly getting something wrong.
