Great tips and please for the love of God, teach the waiters to use discretion. For example if someone orders a Mock-tail by its fancy name from the drink menu… stop pointing out that it has no alcohol!!!
The person knows, and for different reasons (sobriety, religious, medication, or just wants to pace themselves) either way, they want to blend with the atmosphere or company they’re in.
They will add up nicely on the bill unlike a giant glass of pop, or bottled water and the person will feel more comfortable having multiple mocktails if you don’t make a big deal of it. Lots of dating hosts don’t like buying expensive mocktails and will try to pressure their date to drink alcohol, which might not have happened if the waiter just shut their trap and got the raspberry fizz or whatever it was.
Another thing, if you met them in the past and recognize them, but they are with someone else this time don’t talk about their last visit, what they discussed you, and who they were with. I know some waiters think it’s friendly, but it can really mess with people’s lives, and make them dislike the service.
Lastly if there is a food restriction of intolerance, accommodate it if you can an other wise don’t bring it up again unless it is to prevent them from having a dish with that ingredient.
People are there to eat and socialize with their companions, not broadcast and explain their dietary issues repetitively.
If I go on a date and the server does any of this, I won’t go back or bring anyone there again.

One of the Reasons WHY I don't like to dine out is because the waiters and waitresses use the TERM YOUZ GUYS when greeting diners, instead of the more proper terms like Sir, Miss, Madam, or Mesdames & Messieurs.

Saying “comer” when coming out of the kitchen a d going around a corner while carrying a tray… to this day, sometimes I think “corner” when I go around a blind spot. Funny really.

The waiter must aprouch and present menu to the costumer from right hand side, and serve the donne plate dish from right hand side too, i see alot mistakes from this waiters trainig, mabe I am from old school style. ALSO I NEVER SAW NOBODY TAKE LAVANDER TO THE TABLE, Niether RUSSIAN SERVICE OR DIPLOMAT SERVICE ( 3 ) 1- direct service, (2 )indirect service

Maby greetings tips would work better if there were greetings tips for waiters that the costumer gives just for greetings
