Thank you so much Nisha! I couldn't understand why the seeds were useful until you showed the key of heating them in oil to bring out flavour. They are so round that I thought they had been processed or something and didn't expect that they would germinate.

However, as another commenter from NZ noted, they are ultra easy to germinate! I put boiling water on them and left them soaking overnight. Then drained them and kept them moist, changing the water daily, in about three days I had a whole jam jar full of methi seed sprouts.

I haven't tried eating a methi seed sprout yet, but probs yummy on top of salads? Thank you!

PS Oh, by the way, when in a hurry to get to work and not knowing what to take for lunch I have thrown rice in a microwave pot with dried fenugreek / methi leaves and a spoonful of peanut butter. Quick and easy. The dried methi is a bit chewy out of the microwave at work but everyone loves the wonderful aromatic scent. And, it tastes really good for a lunch that takes two minutes to throw together. Can't wait to try the same with fresh green methi, cross fingers in a few more days time! Come on methi shoots! Grow! Grow! Grow! :)

I'm from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
I bought a packet of fenugreek today and really wanted to learn more about it. Your explanation was clear and now I'm confident about using this in the future.🤗

Greetings from New Zealand. On a whim, I decided to grow some Methi.I just sprinkled some seeds on top of tray of garden potting mix, and, Hey Presto! In 5 days it had germinated and was 1cm tall. I look forward to using it in my vegetable dishes from now on. I didn't know how to use fresh Methi. Your explanation of the herb was a real eye opener. Thank you very much.

Thanks. I appreciate the articulate delivery which seemed on the verge of being an herb poem.

Brilliant advice for diabetes. A little amount of dried fenugreek mixed with yogurt is the best medicine for diabetes.

I've not seen any at the market as of yet but I'd probably be happier just listening to her read from the phone book. I love her accent and she is drop dead gorgeous to top it off.

Dr. Oz says that Fenugreek seeds are excellent for stabilizing blood sugar levels. Fenugreek has an incredibly fantastic aroma and taste. This is a good video — and the lady has a lovely voice.

i was amazed when i first ground up freshy dry roasted methy seeds, it's really a bold and unmistakable aroma. my most frequent use is with (also roast) coriander, szechuan pepper, and fresh ginger and bear garlic, to flavor a spinach curry with sour white cheese. (an incredibly flavorful condement! great on bread, rice, potatoes and with eggs)

Oh, how I wish I had taken heed of your comments about the smell of dried fenugreek leaves!!! Bought some to 'enhance' a curry I made a couple of nights ago and I can still smell the damn stuff. Seems to have seeped into the fabric of the house! Only used a tiny amount! The rest is going in the bin!😃

Thank you for making this video. I was somewhat stumped by this ingredient, as far as understanding its use in its different forms.
