Yes, I chose Model Y specifically because of ease of using the stalks and the self drive feature. I also test drove the new Model 3 and liked the styling but hated trying to control everything with my thumb.

Seems like OP is trying to justify buying an older model. I've test drove the new 3 and current Y multiple times. Current model Y is noisy. No acoustic glass all around, less insulation, more road noise. Model 3 Highland - quiet, insulated windows, etc. Plus the audio system in the 3 is much better than Y, which is very important to me. I want a QUIET CABIN to listen to my tunes!

I’ll give you my reason for waiting for Juniper.
My Volvo C40 has a much more refined suspension and seating than my daughter’s 23 model Y. The only thing I envy is FSD.
I’m hoping that the Juniper addresses these two issues with an improved suspension and seating as they did with the new model 3.
Otherwise I’m sticking with the C40 in waiting for an updated model X.

I have never drove a Tesla before but as soon as I did I notice the difference immediately just by driving out the parking lot. From steering wheel to a bigger screen and sound systems and more. But the main reason why I bought the highland was the look. Just the day time running led lights looks sick af already. It’s a new model/refresh you always buy a new model unless you buying a used one. I’m not about to buy an old model and look at someone else’s new model for the next ten years. 😂 I would definitely wait for the Juniper if you looking to buy a model Y. You gone regret buying an old model after you half way done paying for it. 😂
