Just finished disassembling and cleaning my V8. I only had one little issue which I think I resolved, however my Dyson now has a slight whistle ;) which not only doesn't
bother me but brings a smile to my face. I'm pretty proud of myself for taking the whole thing apart and putting it back together again. Thank you for your excellent tutorial!

I found a working V7 out side my building, broken bin connection, £28 replacement bin housing from amazon and deep clean later, new Dyson 🙂thanks for the demo👍

Thanks! I had a problem reaching the 4 T8s. In the cyclone head. The bit was too short and the handle too wide. Then I saw you put the screws into the lid of the same I fix it kit I have. So I went back and noticed you used a hex bit as an extender! Brilliant video!

This video was amazing and thorough. Thank you for posting this. Some things that i would add after having gone through this process myself:

Wear a mask and gloves. There was a lot of dust.

I would go through thr first time rinsing with plain water. With the soap suds, you cannot really see all the dust still caked on to each nook and cranny. I had to do multiple rounds to get most of the dirt off as mine was CAKED

1:27 this part was a lot harder to detach for me. After the clips were disengaged, the piece still did not come out easily. I had to pull pretty hard as i think dust was caked. The plastic is very malleable so i recommend trying to be judicious with the pry tool to get the clips disengaged. Its hard not to do any damage though

5:06 the piece with the silicone around the tubes i recommend being extra careful and NOT using a hard brush around the the silicone/ruber areas. I used a soft bristled tooth brush and ended up digging some holes into the silicone with my brushing. If i had to do it again i would be more gentle or use a small sponge tipped tool or a qtip.
