Excalibur holds a special place in my heart because of my parents taking me as a kid in the 90s but I wouldn't stay there unless I have kids of my own some day. The Luxor is the coolest looking building on the strip imo

I stayed at Luxor last month for the 2nd time in 5yrs. It was great fun both times. Not crazy expensive. The resort is fun and laid back with lots to do. The location isn’t a big issue if you don’t mind taking the Deuce- it’s a great value. Rideshares around the strip aren’t expensive either. I stayed in the pyramid both times. It was clean, safe, comfortable. Nothing fancy, a bit older. Had a great dinner at Tender for probably half the price of other strip steakhouses. The hotel theming is just fun. If I have a complaint they skimp out on small maintenance things. Chipped paint, peeling wrap off the elevator doors etc. overall I’d stay again.

Nice video Jordan. Myself I have a soft spot for both properties. I was at the opening of Luxor for my honeymoon in 1993. I won $5K at the Excalibur.

I also prefer the rooms at Luxor (by far) but love playing in the Excalibur casino by a wide margin. No matter which one you choose, the other is right next door, so you can't lose.

You might add a category or enhance the room category to include a rating for room service. I stayed at the Excalibur several years ago and needed to order room service for breakfast and dinner. It took hours on both meals and when breakfast was finally delivered it was WRONG after all that waiting. Excalibur made up for that by not charging us for the breakfast but I wasn't looking for a free meal. I just wanted good service. Nice video! I appreciate all your efforts!

I agree. The tower rooms at Luxor are nicer than the pyramid rooms and are far superior to the rooms at Excalibur. Plus, it's only like a 10-minute walk over to Excalibur if you want to gamble over there.

I just stayed at Excalibur last week & I was really pleasantly surprised. Had a great time at the pool renting a daybed & I was happy that housekeeping did come to my room everyday for a touch-up. Def happy to stay there again if comps & stuff come my way!

We have stayed at the Luxor….those inclinators got me dizzy. The room was really nice. The food was decent and the entertainment was good. We have never stayed at Excalibur but the entertainment was fun. We also won at Excalibur but never at Luxor. To get a better room at a more economical price, we stay at the Orleans. The food was very good and the casino was small but we won, so it made it great. Thank you for the vid. These comparison vids are very informative.

I stayed in both, mainly for the conventions at the mandelay bay, what would be helpful is to add the room prices, as there is a difference that could be a real factor in for 4 nights stay . Thanks for making the video, keep it up

Hey Sir Jordan ….while I like the outside theming of both properties I’d rather sleep in my car than in Excalibur aka the dirty castle 🏰. I think the food options for either one is pretty tragic. I think your assessment was spot on. For me I prefer the high end resorts so for MGM I only stay at Bellagio or Aria though I do also like Mandalay Bay but the location is a deal killer. Excellent review as always 😎😎😎

I'm glad Luxor won. Excalibur, for me, is only good for its arcade. My family and I had a lot of fun there the last time we went together. But I did see Excalibur just opened a new center bar. I might check it out next time I'm in town.

I used to stay at Excalibur but we'd go to Luxor in the morning for a cheap poker tournament.

You can also use the MGM Grand Pool Complex if you stay at any MGM resort property
Excalibur is a close to walk to MGM and the Excalibur rooms with a tub are better and still a room you can get compd

The rooms at Luxor (especially the tower rooms, I prefer the East Tower) are definitely better. I’ve stayed at both several times and like the south strip because it’s not as crowded and you don’t have the pushy hustler people on the street trying to run their scams. Luxor pool is definitely better IMO. Restaurants are a push. I like Buca @ Excalibur & Public House @ Luxor. Casino is better @ Excalibur. The atrium experience @ Luxor is one of a kind to be in a pyramid. Shows I think are better @ Luxor. Very tough to pick a winner so your scorecard is very reasonable
