"Be prepared." It's good advice for the Boy Scouts, and it's good advice for those who use mobile technology. We were just hit by a nasty snow storm up here in Boston, and as I sat at home basking in the luxury of a surprise snow day, I saw lots of updates from friends who'd lost power in the nor'easter. It got me thinking: what kind of blizzard tech prep should everyone be prepared for when a big one's on the horizon? From charging batteries to downloading documents, these are the five biggest tips I've picked up over years of losing my lights to snowstorms.

Good tips and review as always, but this video especially helped, since the Chicago weather sucks in these desperate times. Thanks for another great video.

Mr. Mobile is the only tech youtuber I would watch. Helpful videos, unbiased content, astonishing productions. What more could you ask for?

Thank you very much, I don't really need any of these tips because I live in a nice place in Italy but in case of a zombie apocalypse now I know exactly what to to.

Loved the reminder to unplug for a while I've noticed that I've been increasingly dependent on my devices and its nice to be reminded to unplug for a while.

I live in California, our "winter weather" is a freezing 60° with sunshine and 5 minutes of cloudy weather . . .

This helps for all of us here in Indiana. When it snows it snows really hard.

Power outages are more common in developing countries. Sometimes these outages fry your electronic stuff too. A UPS is a must too. These tips can really save your life. Thanks Michael.

Good one MrMobile. Not only interesting but also very informative for the most distracted amongst us. The best suggestion though... log off and enjoy being offline. The best suggestion.

The 50, 000 mAh Crave power pack saved me during a blizzard 4 months ago. I think I spent $70 on it.

These are good tips for when we have power outages during tornadoes and high speed winds. We havent had much snow this year, but the tornados are getting worse and worse every year so this is good when we need to know when to take shelter and all that.
