Veganism Deceives you! - Visiting a Dutch Farm

Visiting Dutch farms only strengthens my opinion on Veganism and how it is not sustainable and is unhealthy long term. Veganism is deceiving and isolates you. This is my opinion.

See how different the color of that "natural" sustainable butter is, compared to the commercial one.
Not to mention the taste. If you make a pie with that traditional butter, its taste is way better!
Wanna get a super basic and quick candy? A slice of bread with a swirl of that butter on it and with a little of sugar on the top of it. Delicious.

It's a nice thing to visit a farm like that. Unfortunately, the production of milk almost never is "humane" or animal welfare oriented. The babies are taken away from their mothers even in the best organic farms. Calves raised by nurse cows are still the exception and so separating the calves and the goatlings from the mothers stays the norm. I do understand that you do not want to live without animal products but just because the animals are treated well doesn't mean that this practice is not a problem.

Your personal experience is valid and important, and you are not the only one feeling better after returning to animal products. But you make a los of false claims as well. There are loads of people thriving on plant based foods too, athletes, doctors, you name it, you have to acknowledge that too. There is info about broccoli being bad... There is plenty of info about meat being bad too. Maybe you didn't do well on a vegan diet because you didn't get to heal your microbiome.

And I also think you have to acknowledge that although these farms do look nice, you haven't really shown us the footage were they kill the sheep, or the pigs from the bacon you ate. That ugly part needs to be upfront too, otherwise who is deceiving who.

I'm not even a vegan myself, but it's infact statistically proven that the largest chunk of farms are completely unethical. So don't get deluded by a bunch of farms in your country that actually invite people. The husband of my cousin runs his own farm with milk cows in an ethical way, but he also told me all the story how it's impossible for him to compete versus convential farms. This is NOT what most of the people consume, don't get fooled. It SHOULD be like this at all farms though, but it also means we need to consume a lot less animal products. And I don't really understand the man made argument either, because we're breeding the animals ourselves that wouldn't even exist like this if it wasn't for us breeding them in a certain way. Last but not least, I hope that asap farming etc. gets regulated in a way that basically all farms have to operate like the one you showed in this video, for now this might be the case for 5%, if not less.

I was a gullible vegan too, subscribing to as much vegan influencers as I could to justify my lifestyle. I was misguided. It is SO weird coming out the other side and seeing how ignorant the vegan movement can be.

The goats look exactly like Colonel Sanders with the goatees. Wonderful video, Kriss. You're much wiser than I was at your age. Keep it up.

Vegans will sometimes talk about B-12. And every so often you will hear one talk about DHA. But in my over years as a vegan, I never heard anyone talk about vitamins A and D, how many people cannot convert ALA to EPA and DHA, how many people cannot convert beta-carotene to vitamin A, how fat soluble vitamins are not the same for the human body as vitamins in vegetables. I never heard vegans acknowledging bio-availability issues. I never heard them being honest about calcium deficiency, dental problems that have plagued countless ex-vegans, the widespread prevalence of multiple nutritional deficiencies in long-term vegans … and on and on and on …I was VEGAN 5 YEARS and my blood work results I was deficient in B-12, A, D, and Iron.

Pretty much what you get at the grocery store is not like this. You are deceiving with your title. Animals are not treated humanely at all. What a joke. And guess whst, you are not allowed to visit commercial farms. They have security guards and you are forbidden to enter and see their caretaking.

Very important message, thank you kassumi for this great content. I am living in Switzerland and like yourself, I buy my milk and eggs from the farm, five minutes away from were I live, it is so delicious.

Your video's are always so calm and peacefull :) I like them very much. Thanks to you I found out about the organic butcher in Rotterdam. Now I go there once a week to get organ meats. I would love to start eating raw meat but still don't have the guts to do so... Any advise on that is very welcome :)

So...it`s difficult. I know right?
It really is. I grew up on a little farm. My parent´s heart was in there, but honestly: the living situation for our cows was shit. It was a small, old, dark stable nowhere near the conditions of a modern big, bad "milk-factory" - those must feel like heaven in comparison.

Or: a fresh apple from New Zealand, transported in a big container can be way more environmentaly friendly than an apple that was stored in a energy consuming warehouse in Europe for 6 or 8 months.

Or: when you don`t want to use pesticedes - that´s OK. But you usually have to replace it with steel, diesel and/or cheep labor. The fields don´t weed themselves.

As I said: it`s difficult.

i hope vp sees this for a sense of sanity in what can be a very mind numbing experience-the entire social media 'food&drug' agenda- its good to see you living well eating wise.

Crazy how no animal on earth ever had any difficulty figuring out what it's 'optimum diet' was. No, it uses instict, it eats and that is all. Human's are the same, we have eaten both meat and plants since the beginning of time, why do we think we need go on the internet or read books to understand what we should eat, we are literally the only animal on earth that does this.
