I think most people rarely ever perform a CPU upgrade while they are using the same socket. Usually by the time it becomes necessary, the platform becomes obsolete and they'll have to do a whole new build.

i saw a lot of people going only with one stick memory sacrifying dual channel which is crucial to improve system performance. a good goes as well with a good gpu.
