Concrete Shooting Scorpion Tail Looking Thing

This device caught my attention this morning as I was headed to work. I'm accustomed to seeing cranes on Interstate 40 at exit 105 where the bridges are being constructed, but I've never seen this unusual looking concrete shooter. To me it looks like a scorpion's tail. I pulled over at the McDonalds and shot this out the window of my car with a Canon HFG10. Maybe someone can tell me what this is called. Peace! TLG

that is exactly it. these things can go up  quite a few stories. a safer way to pour in ways...

We have these in the UK.  Your right in what you say they are putting concrete in for the footing of the bridge. I think they look like a scorpio's sting. You have a great day too!

I used to do concrete work. It's a concrete pump truck. The concrete truck pours it into the pump truck and the man holding the hose shoots it in the frame to make a or footing foundation. I use to hold the hose. Man that thing is heavy and takes a lot of strength to hold. Tough job. Glad I be moved on to better job.
