Sublimation vs Deposition

Sublimation and Deposition are two types of phase changes. Sublimation is when a solid goes to a liquid and deposition is when a gas goes straight to a solid.
Sublimation and Deposition are phase changes. Sublimation is an endothermic process and deposition is an exothermic process.

Very cool. Thank you for your video. I started listening to a book on Audible titled, “Thermodynamics, Four Laws That Move The Universe” and it mentioned sublimation and deposition. I could not envision how, or under what circumstances a solid would transform directly into a gas or a gas into a solid. So I came to YouTube. I am not taking any classes, nor do I have a specific purpose. I’m a truck driver. I’ve been blessed (or cursed, depending on how you look at it) with an extreme hunger to learn. I listen to books about science, technology, computer programming, networking, philosophy, religion, corporate, contract and constitutional law, and a vast array of other topics, with over 1700 books in my Audible collection, currently. I occasionally run into terms or concepts that I need help with understanding. So YouTube and Google become useful to find more material on a given topic. That’s what brought me to your video. Thank you for your useful video. Please keep up the good work. It’s a blessing to people like me. I’ve heard the term, “YouTube University.” There’s definitely some truth to that. I’ve spent a lot of time watching a lot of videos over the past few years, literally in the thousands. That equates to a lot of time on this platform. Anyways, keep doing what you’re doing. It’s useful. I’m subscribing to your channel. Even 60 year old truck drivers (damn near—57…) often go back to basics in an attempt to make sense of the world around them and to grasp (and appreciate) its underlying principles.

That one he said about endothermic reaction is wrong. in an "endothermic reaction" more energy is absorbed into the environment, while "exothermic reaction "more energy is released into the environment.
