Session: Designing for Security through Threat Modelling

This session will explore the use of Threat Modelling as a means to consider possible attack scenarios and vulnerabilities within our systems (proposed or existing) and use risk and impact to decide the appropriate security patterns and controls to apply.

In this interactive session we will undertake a small threat modelling exercise to introduce the key concepts and processes in a way that you can take back to your office and begin to use as part of design activities.

Key learning points for the session are:

An understanding of the Threat Modelling process.
Using Attack Trees to drill down into specific threats.
Using security patterns and controls to mitigate threats.
