I bawled when this scene happened in the movie. The spoiled girl obsessed with dresses never seems to get a chance to mature and maintain her femininity and also get the man. Those roles are always reserved for the women who reject femininity. That Amy was given such a heartfelt and complex treatment in this movie made me ache so much to watch, that I couldn't stop from crying, watching her grow and develop but stay true to herself, just a better version.
Amy grows up and gets the dream man. Louisa made the story and Greta perfected it and I'm going to bed happy tonight.

i dont know the musical terminology for this but I love when the melody from laurie and jo on the hill is sort of mirrored in this song, its such beautiful storytelling

I dislike Amy. Jo never deserved to be treated that way by Laurie. If Amy truly loved her sister, she would have not married the man that had proposed to her. It’s awkward and mean-spirited. Nobody will convince me otherwise. I am a Jo fan all the way and stand by her.
