That elephant/bull carving is remarkable!! Its perfectly carved to share the heads between the two bodies. Its nice to know people were thinking up abstract ideas that long ago!

In Canada’s north, there are similar shelters, or there were. They were made of mostly whalebone and hides. Really great for families that lived by chasing herds and hunting, when there wasn’t much ice and snow from which to build, yet something sturdy was warranted.

tbf a rib cage of any large pachyderm, with a bit extra bones n stuff laid on it, with some animal hides over the top would make a fairly decent shelter
