WILL PEOPLE PLEASE SHUT UP ABOUT SOLAR ROADWAYS. I don't mention them, I don't endorse them, they are horrendously expensive, totally unworkable and no one is seriously looking at building them. I got a lot of flak about solar roadways in Part 1 too, and didn't mention them there either, or endorse them!
There is ONE photo of a solar road along with a photo of a new flexible solar paint to show the versatility of solar panels. That seems to have touched off at least three posters who immediately went apoplectic without even listening to the voice-over.

"party politics always triumphs over practicality." In my experience, party politics also triumphs over intelligence, honesty, ethics, compassion and fact.

As a conservative that does accept the science behind global warming, thank you.

Climate change, much like immigration, has become a political football, and sensible solutions are drowned out by the cacophony of partisanship.

As a libertarian I love your take :)
Am ashamed that a lot of libertarians don't understand the problem

I’m a conservative. We don’t have to agree with you on all things, but I do agree with you on this. 🥳

Time and time again, I'm blown away by the quality of your videos. These two on the conservative solution to climate change were fantastic and they taught me a lot of solutions that I had never thought about, especially the one with hydrogen and ammonia, but it also gave me a completely different view on carbon taxes. Absolutely brilliant work, Peter. And happy birthday!

While I am staunchly left wing when it comes to climate change I’d be more than happy with a conservative solution. Ironically many on the left have been arguing for a market solution to the problem. Sadly those on the right who fear addressing climate change also seem to believe their vaunted free market is an extremely fragile thing and would collapse with even the slightest government direction. Thanks for an amazing video which I’m sure I will be sharing widely.

Steven Crowder only got about 3 minutes into this video before becoming triggered, hitting the dislike button, and declaring himself Pigeon Chess champion.

As an aside, I can't express how good it feels to see this channel finally breaking out into the mainstream. From 173K subscribers to 250K to 500K is a much shorter journey than that from 50Kto 100K. It is so refreshing to watch a facts-based, science-based channel that does not resort to gimmicks or name-calling.

Another conservative or libertarian argument for alternative energy is that we'd no longer be dependent on foreign oil. Venezuela, Russia, and Saudi Arabia would have less influence on our politics. And we wouldn't be under pressure to get involved in foreign wars to secure the oil supply.

Thank you... you’ve restored my hope that there are still sane people on both sides.

You are such a breath of fresh air, being an atheist conservative (really a libertarian) who believes in climate change I'm use to being at odds with my family and wider public who are (mostly) Christians and deniers. It's good to be able to watch and learn without dirty looks or smug remarks.
Not that i suck in everything you say with drool coming out of my mouth. But it's rather relaxing.
I think it would maybe be easier on me in this subject to be on the left.... but I'm not (i disagree with more of what they say than not).
When will their be a viable Libertarian political party? One can only dream i guess.
Anyway this is just a long winded thank you.

When the debate started getting ugly, I quit talking about Global Warming / Climate Change and started talking about pollution and economics. I walked the talk as well. I paid massive attention to energy efficiency improvements to our home, which made a real difference in our power bill. Then we built a small solar array. That combination of improvements brought so much benefit to us that my wife was onboard to go farther with solar, so we increased from a 1050w array to a 6810w array. We dumped the bottom-of-the-line natural gas furnace to a very efficient heat pump and now have an EV we use for most of our transport. Our monthly expenses are dramatically reduced. I've explained to people the benefit it will truly make when I retire in a few years now that our expenses are more than 60% less than what they would've been if we'd done nothing. We don't need government approval to take steps toward energy security, we need only to get started, and then spread the word.

As a staunch progressive, and geophysicist, I think your ideas in this video series make a great deal of sense. The "Feel the Bern" sticker on my field and personal vehicles will stay there till they rot. But we have common ground in your methods and facts. I'm going to forward these to all my left leaning friends . Thanks!

I am a liberal who completely agrees with your video. Most liberals don't want to overthrow the government to solve global warming the same way that most conservatives actually believe in it. People tend to over-emphasize the crazies on both sides.

Some of the greatest opposition to nuclear power has come from (you might have guessed) the fossil fuel industry.
