Multiple start-stop starters can be controlled from multiple locations by following these rules:
Wire stop buttons in series: Wire all normally closed stop buttons in series with each other. This means that each stop button turns off power to the rest of the circuit.
Wire start buttons in parallel: Wire all normally open start buttons in parallel with each other.
Connect holding contact in parallel: Connect the holding contact in parallel with the start buttons.
Start-Stop Circuit:Relevance To Printed Circuit Boards - Jhdpcb
In theory, a motor starter can be remotely controlled with three wires, but in practice, four wires are usually required. The fourth wire is a safety ground that grounds the metal section of the remote box.
There are multiple ways to accomplish a sequenced start-stop function for motors. For example, when motor 2 stops, motor 3 will also stop, but motor 1 will continue to run. Pushing the estop will stop all the motors.
