We’re all so proud of Uriah!! He has done such a good job with the bees this year. Congratulations, Uriah!

From one beekeeper to another, here's one small tip. Run your knife along the top and bottom of the frame and scoot it back and forth to just cut off the top layer. The comb should stick out just enough to do that without damaging so much comb. It save the bees tons of work and allows them to fill them up quicker. Unless you are wanting to take a bunch of wax too for other rendering projects. Great video, many people have come from your video to view my own 😊🤙🏽

I love your response to those saying not to take their honey. Imagine owning a dozen bee hives, taking care of them, making sure they don’t get hit by disease or anything and not taking their honey. They produce waaaay too much honey for themselves anyway.

I really appreciate you being very honest with unhappy commenters. Despite how negative they can be and I’m sure frustrating to read, you react to them perfectly 👏 you guys make me want to own some beehives in the future 🥰

Hello from France,
I learned to remove the wax capping of the frames on a separate bucket. It helps after extracting with the filters. And we let the honey sit for at least a week so that the air bubbles and impurities can rise to the top, where you can easily scrape it off.
Beautiful harvest of valuable gold. Keep up the good work.

Fascinating and just gorgeous!
Fun Fact : Consuming local honey builds your immune system to the local pollens. Thank you Honey Bees! And thank you White House for supporting bee colonies.. we can't survive without them.

So proud of Uriah this is so cute. I started watching a few years ago when he was just a baby and now he’s responsible for a whole hive by himself, it’s very sweet to witness :]

I’ve followed you for a long time, you and your family have successfully helped pollinate more and more land. A very important part of our ecosystem. The bees gladly produce sometimes up to 3-4 supers, leaving plenty below for them, you have become true commercial beekeepers, congrats!!!!

It might sound really odd, but colors carry vibrations affect moods, and behaviors … My kooky self Would probably change that red color to yellow immediately … they call it, mellow yellow for a reason🤗
You all are by far my favorite family to watch and I enjoy so much the beautiful dynamic you’ve created and are now sharing with the world! Magnificent blessings to each of you.

Didn’t even get all the way through the video before buying from Uriah. I’m a sucker for supporting youth. (Long time scout leader, youth coach, and substitute teacher!)

So Uriah, I have a couple questions for you. Do you know what your profits are after considering how much your materials cost? And have you figured out how much you were able to pay yourself hourly?

I loved asking those types of questions when helping my kids with their 4th grade sale projects. So many parents let their kids keep all the money but I loved teaching mine about the value of paid help (me since I was their slave labor 😂) and I asked them to pay me back for materials I purchased to start them out. It was amazing to see that little lightbulb click when they understood the true value!

Good work in starting that entrepreneur and can’t wait to taste the honey! ❤

Uriah and Eli are learning the benefits of hard work. Gaining problem solving skills. The reward at the end of it all. So good to see young people being started out right, so they have more of a chance to be successful in their future.

So glad your beautiful family shares with us. You are still my favorite channel. I've watch for years now. I remember when you only had the 2 oldest boys and they were so young. Every time I watch they are all growing up so fast. God bless you all and thank you so much for sharing with us.

Jake, you are doing wonderful work with your bees! One thing! Maybe help you save the cost of a queen. When you place a queen cage into a hive, turn the cage so that the screen is parallel to the bottom of the box. The bees in the hive feed the queen. With the screen up, the bees wanting to give the queen sustainance have to approach her back. With the screen down, the attending bees can produce food and water proboscis to proboscis. One of the objectives in queen introduction also is to spread the queens' pheromones. This is more easily accomplished, screen down. She will actually lower her abdomen to the screen. I've never seen it happen where she has to do "pull-ups"! Thanks for your great video.

Hey Jake, i had a suggestion for your honey jar shipping. I suggest you add bubble wrap around the jar after the paper wrapping to add more safety to the har during shipping. Also put fragile sticker on the box to tell the shipping company it is glass inside the box.

This may add more cost to the shipping but happy costumer who is your fan getting their jar of honey is more worth it.
Well done. I am also surprised with your harvest this year. That very a lots of jar.
