Vauxhall has revealed that the New Frontera Electric and New Frontera Hybrid will be offered at the same list price, marking the first time in the UK car market that there is no price difference between electric and petrol versions of the same vehicle.

The New Frontera features a rugged interpretation of Vauxhall’s Bold and Pure design philosophy. Its front end showcases the brand's signature Vizor, seamlessly integrating with distinctive LED headlights. The prominent wheel arches, sills, and striking C-pillar design highlight its strong, robust character. At 4,380mm in length, the Frontera fits between the Mokka (4,151mm) and All-New Grandland (4,650mm) within Vauxhall’s updated SUV range. Although it shares the same length as an Astra hatchback, the New Frontera offers more boot space with the rear seats down, providing 1,594 litres, surpassing the Astra Sports Tourer Electric.

The New Frontera will launch with two trim levels. The entry-level Design model features 16-inch black steel wheels with wheel arch cladding, automatic headlights and wipers, and stylish black grained bumpers. An optional white roof is available, paired with 16-inch white steel wheels. The GS models come with 17-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, body-coloured bumpers, and a silver skid plate. The GS also includes a black roof with tinted rear windows, LED taillights, and power-folding mirrors.

The modern design continues inside the New Frontera, where a spacious and comfortable interior awaits. The Pure Panel cockpit features a newly designed steering wheel and two 10-inch widescreens, complemented by physical buttons for key functions to ensure a practical, driver-friendly experience. Standard equipment includes satellite navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™, and wireless smartphone charging.

The New Frontera sets a new standard for maximizing interior space. With clever storage solutions, 60:40 split-folding second-row seats, and a two-level boot floor, it offers a similar footprint to the Astra hatchback but provides a larger boot capacity (1,594 litres with the rear seats down) than the Astra Sports Tourer Electric. With the rear seats in place, the boot capacity is 460 litres.

The Design models come equipped with a range of standard driver assistance features, including rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, cruise control with speed limiter, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and driver attention alert.

In addition to the generous features of the Design specification, GS models include electronic climate control and Intelli-Seat front seats, designed with a special cushion slot to reduce pressure on the tailbone. GS models also feature front parking sensors, blind spot alert, and an electrochromatic rear-view mirror. Hybrid GS models offer an optional seven-seat configuration with two-way adjustable headrests and a ‘fold and tumble’ seat mechanism for easy access to the third row.

For added convenience, the optional Comfort Pack for GS models includes heated seats, a heated windscreen, a heated steering wheel, and roof rails with a 240kg load capacity.

The New Frontera is equipped with an efficient 113hp electric motor, built on the new Stellantis ‘Smart Car’ BEV-native platform. With a range of 186 miles (WLTP provisional) from its 44kWh battery, the New Frontera Electric offers a comfortable, zero-emissions driving experience at the same price as the hybrid version. Thanks to its 100kW rapid charging capability, the Frontera Electric can recharge from 20% to 80% in just 26 minutes. It accelerates from 0-62mph in 12.1 seconds, with a top speed of 87mph.

This advert is headed an affordable 7 seater. NOTHING IS SHOWN OF THE THIRD ROW. How misleading. Yes it’s a nice looking car with beautiful recharging port and interior and exterior features which all get massive coverage on the ad but missing out the main point of why most folks would want this car ….7 Seats !!
