Made 50 years ago, still better than bridges made today which collapse in 1 month

Ok, that bridge can only support two-wheelers then and no heavy vehicles.

Government think people are fool.

Such a narrow perspective to say that the bridge connecting the route between Karnataka and Goa fell only because of heavy machinery transported for a single industry in Karnataka. As if no heavy vehicles travel on that route which is literally a national highway connecting 2 states. And that route also goes to Pune.
The locals get furious when they don't get top posts in that industry and blame the industry for anything that happens around it. Need to grow out of the selfish perspective.

Again people are just blaming people. Why not file suo moto against those who constructed the bridge and this who passed the bill saying it's fit

I would go further to say that there was a beautiful mountain, that was carved for making bridge. That mountain succumbed and only its ruins could be seen. Maybe it's soul rested in peace today 😊

Some major roads in Meghalaya still have bridges built by British more than 80 years ago. Yet it still stand firm and strong in the midst of heavy rainfall

We have bridges built by the Portuguese still standing strong and being used, still after 500 years.

This in India. Politicians would question your patriotism rather than corruption.

India doesn't need a zombie apocalypse. This alone is sufficient to take India back to the dark ages.

1. Least bothered about the maintenance of the bridges.

2. No preplanning in construction of new bridges as the vehicle numbers are increasing every year.

3. Over usage of bridges anive and beyond its expiration years.

Need to chane a lot my country 😢

While the bridges and infrastructure in India is falling down, $500 million US dollars was spent on building the Statue of Unity. If defies all logic!!

Many british era bridges still standing strong today. Eg: Howrah bridge.
What’s wrong with post independence engineering?
I guess it’s better if indian infra companies form Joint Venture with foreign infra companies to learn the global best practices and technology. Enough of collapsing indian bridges!

The bridge is not 50 years old, the bridge was built after I was born. I am not 50 yet .

Stop focussing on National/State level politics and start focussing on you local counsellors. Do not see any other way.
