No matter how many switches you use, only the two switches at both ends can be " 2-way switches".
All the middle ones must be " 3-way switches ". Then you can turn on the lamp from any switch and turn it off from any other switch randomly and vise versa.
There is a simple logic of the function of a " 3-way switch " which is to reverse the two input wires signal to the two output wires from 0 to 1 and from 1 to 0 correspondingly. Therefore the logic of any one of the segment pair of the middle two wires are either in a (0, 1) or a (1, 0) status. This guarantees the on going lines always have one and only one with line voltage while another line always has 0 volt dynamically.
( FYI : In North America, they call the 2-way switch in Europe as " 3-way " while the 3-way switch in Europe as "4-way ".
Make sure to get the correct switches in your country. )

This is really an interesting thing. It needs today. I remember while climbing to first floor our place was climb up 4 or 5 steps turn left the the corner angular stairs then a 5 feet square landing then climb up again a long flat area climb up next then climb up fully to first floor.
Now at bottom square the wall facing up a tube light. There is a switch also. At the bottom on your also there is a switch. Now our boss said the bottom switch and the first 5 feet square landing should be connected that we switch on and off at both levels. If we forget to switch off we switch off from the bottom. While climbing if we need light we switch on at the landing. But the safely is if we switch off at the entrance this switch doesn't work.

its not applicable for stair case, no option for one switch on and off from another one .for that system you want to use a intermediate switch in between two 2 way switches, then it will be any switch on and from any switch off.
