Mark Halsey reacts to accusations ref 'bottled' Timber red in Arsenal vs Spurs | The Whistleblower

Ex-Premier League referee and SunSport columnist Mark Halsey joins Will Pugh for episode 4 of our brand new series - The Whistleblower.

Mark is not scared of upsetting fans, the PGMOL or referees, he just says it how it is which is what supporters have been crying out for!

And Mark will be on hand after every Premier League gameweek to run the rule over the good, the bad and the downright ugly refereeing and VAR decisions.

- Jurrien Timber escaping a red card during Arsenal’s win at Tottenham plus Cristian Romero’s phantom handball.

- How Robert Sanchez dodged a red card during Chelsea’s win at Bournemouth after giving away a penalty with a foul on Evanilson.

- Whether Fulham boss Marco Silva was right to be fuming after Adama Traore was denied a penalty after Max Kilman’s challenge during West Ham’s 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage.

- The dodgy VAR angle that somehow saw Jean-Philippe Mateta’s goal given during Crystal Palace 2-2 Leicester despite it being ruled out by the linesman.

- And whether Mateo Kovacic was lucky not to be sent off for his match ending slide tackle from behind on Brentford’s Yoane Wissa during Man City's win.

Its shouldn't even have been a yellow. Timbers foot went over the ball he got to first. His studs were pointing downwards and slightly caught the players shin who was flying in with his leg. Porro went into Timbers foot when he was trying to shield it and then went down playacting trying to get Timber sent off.

No idea how people are saying that it should have been a red card, or even a yellow card, Porro should have been carded for simulation. Also still no discussion about thr follow through on Odegaard vs BHA, that should have been a red card, Curtis Jones, Romero and Vierra were given reds for that.
